Noodle Chat 07700 07822 - the replacement for 07744 07755 access number utlizing inclusive cross network minutes

As a result of T Mobile banning 07744/07755 numbers on the 1 June 2007 from inclusive cross network minutes and Orange following suit on the 8 June 2007 we have had to find a way round.

As Orange hastily followed T mobile in banning 07744 numbers they still had to give 14 days notice to their customers.

So calls made to 07744 numbers between the 8 June 2007 and the 22 June 2007 would have been free. Check your Orange July bill to ensure they credited you back for those dates.

O2 have also banned 0870 and 0844 numbers for new contract customers as of 27 April 2007. The people at Orange and T Mobile have no regard for customer service and have banned 07744 for all customers.

At least 02 have some decency to ensure that existing customers prior to 27 April 2007 will be able to keep their current terms and conditions.

There is a new service Noodle Chat, which enables all 02 orange and 3 pay monthly mobile contract users to make free international calls on mobiles.

All you have to do is to text NOODLE CHAT to 81025. Put the space between Noodle and Chat. This sms will cost 10 or 12 pence depending on your mobile network. If you have free SMS text messages as part of your contract this may be free

You will then receive a text back from NOODLE with your access number.

Noodle customer services will call you back shortly to complete the registation process. They will ask for your name, address etc. This is to tie your NOODLE number to your mobile.

To prevent mobile companies from banning 07700 07822 numbers like they did for 07744 07755 0870 0844 numbers NOODLE will give each person their own number to use when dialing abroad. The Noodle number you receive will be for the mobile you sent the SMS from. So if you thought you would be clever and use that noodle number from another phone it will simply ring your first phone. If you want another noodle number just text NOODLE CHAT to 81025 from the second phone and you will get another number to use.

If you are a first time user of noodle, you will need to activate your own Noodle 07700 number by either getting someone to call you on your 07700 number or by using a call back service to get money in to your account.

eg go to http://www.travelbag.co.uk/ContactUs/callback.html Enter your new noodle 07700 number on this website, wait for the phone to ring, answer it, get a price for a holiday to the Maldives.

Once you have earned a couple of pence into your account, you can start to make FREE or cheap international calls.

Otherwise when you dial to make a call you will receive a noodle message saying you are out of credit. You will only earn money on weekdays, so there is no point bothering Travelbag on weekends. You can dial 07700090452 anytime for account balance enquiries

To make an international call all you have to do is to dial your noodle number first and then dial the full international number eg my number is 07700 092 866 Press Dial - Wait for Ring Tone and then dial 0091etc to call my family in India. DONT NOT PRESS DIAL/CALL OR #

The best bit about Noodle is that you will receive credit when you dial your NOODLE number before you make international calls.

For example when I want to call my friend in Sri-Lanka I can see that her mobile number is 9471 etc - as if I am going to tell you her mobile number. From the country list www.free-international-calls-on-mobiles.com/data/noodle.pdf you can see that calls to 9471 is 1.4 per minute at peak time.

You make think that it will cost you 1.4 pence per minute, however if you dial your noodle number first then you will receive a rebate of 2 pence per minute at peak times. Therefore in effect Noodle is paying you 0.6 pence per minute to call your girlfriend. Isn't this great.

Now, you are hardly going to call your girlfriend when it is off peak as it will be midnight in Sri-Lanka. You may want to call her at the weekend. From the country list you can see that is costs 7.1 pence per minute, but with the 0.6 pence a minute you have made during the week when calling her you can make some savings on this rate.

And if you have friends and family in other countries you will find that Noodle are paying you up to 2 pence a minute at peak time when you dial abroad.

Of course you can continue using calling cards, but do you really know how much you are paying. Everytime you use a calling card you pay a connection charge, some cards deduct a daily amount and most if not all calling cards have an expiry date. Haven't you found that frustrating when you pick up a calling card to only find that it is no longer valid! I certainly did.

If you are a Vodafone or T Mobile Customer you can still make cheap international calls.http://www.free-international-calls-on-mobiles.com/cheap-international-calls.htm

Calls to India Mobile are 4 pence a minute unlike when using a BT landline where it costs 25 pence a minute. No wonder they make billions. See their webpage and cry http://www.productsandservices.bt.com/consumerProducts/displayTopic.do?topicId=15742&&cntryStartAlphabet=I
